Tecklenburger Bergpfad – half-timbering and far horizons
The Tecklenburger Bergpfad links two of our favourite places – the half-timbered town of Tecklenburg and the village of Brochterbeck – on one long, panoramic loop.
It opens with a panorama at the Bismarck tower, then follows the finest stretches of the Hermannsweg and a tree trail with wonders from around the world. Art along the way: the „Golden Staircase“.
Past the cosy Holthausen forest chapel and the Blücher rock natural monument it drops to Brochterbeck with its mill pond, continues by an old limestone quarry with wild orchids, and finally climbs back „devilishly steeply“ over the Hexenpfad.
