The apartment opens directly onto a paved, ground-level terrace with a few simple garden chairs – an easy place to sit outside for a morning coffee or an evening drink. Beyond it is a lawn that is kept natural rather than manicured, edged with shrubs, tall ornamental grasses and a flowering bush, with a small green gate leading to the path. It lies in a quiet residential part of Brochterbeck, so neighbouring houses are close by, but there is plenty of greenery and open sky. The garden is relaxed and unpretentious rather than landscaped – honest, green outdoor space to unwind after a day exploring the Tecklenburger Land.
