Hexenpfad (Witches’ Trail) – witches, caves and ghost stories
Over stock and stone through a world of legends: the Hexenpfad is a wonderful family loop around Tecklenburg – with a little white witch as your waymark.
A steep staircase drops to the Witches’ Kitchen, where legend says witches gathered to brew their potions. On it goes to the mysterious „Roelant’s Grave“ cave and a heathen temple.
Along a stretch of the Hermannsweg with grand views you reach the castle ruins and the Wier tower, home of Tecklenburg’s open-air theatre. Round it off with a stroll through the half-timbered town.
